ODK Media website redesign overview
My Role I worked closely with a brand designer and a junior UX designer, leading the website design and building it in Webflow.

Why Redesign?

The existing website was a single landing page with outdated content and styling, making it difficult for users to engage with the brand and for the company to scale its content. The redesign introduced a refreshed brand identity, expanded the site structure, improved navigation for a better user experience, and ensured seamless accessibility across devices.

Main Goal

1. Expand the website from a single page to a multi-page structure and ensure seamless responsive experience across devices.

2. Introduce a refreshed brand identity while maintaining visual consistency throughout the site.

Challenge

A key challenge was structuring complex cross-team content into a clear and intuitive website experience.

Design Approach

I started with a sitemap to understand the full scope of the website and define content hierarchy. This helped clarify what each page contained and how components could be reused across the page.

Another Challenge

Another key challenge was maintaining consistency and long-term scalability while implementing the new brand identity.

Design Approach

To address this, I proposed a design system that established a unified visual language and supported scalable future updates. With support from the brand designer, we aligned in a visual direction and developed the components accordingly.

What I Learned

This project shifted my perspective from designing pages to designing systems that support multiple stakeholders and long-term scalability.

Through this project, I was able to see the value and efficiency of a design system. Having it in place helped me establish consistent class naming early on, which made building the website much more efficient. More importantly, it improved collaboration between designers and engineers.

Looking ahead, I'd like to define clearer success metrics for both the design system and the website. For example, measuring how much time is saved in design and development through reusable components and how much faster updates can be made. On the product side, I also want to track performance metrics such as user engagement, bounce rate, and improvements in conversion flows after the redesign.
